The symptoms of kennel cough can usually be seen after a few weeks of contracting the disease. It is an upper respiratory disease which affects dogs and cats. Common places for dogs to get kennel cough are dog shows, kennels, and shelters. When there are large group of dogs together, it is a common ground for this disease to spread, as it is very contagious. Common symptoms of kennel cough are an intermittent cough every couple of minutes. Animals also get runny noses and watery eyes.
